High- performance manufacturing with trochoidal milling strategies

Along with technological progress, manufacturing processes have been constantly innovated, hoping to reduce time, extend the useful life of tools and offer high quality finishes product, however, information on product is scarce. Machined in 7075 - T6 aluminum, which, due its mechanical properties, more used for manufacture molds dies than other materials. In this project, a high-performance machining studied, improving cycle times by comparing trochoidal conventional milling roughing strategies, without use coolants that can contaminate chip allowing recycling material, these strategies are found large part CAM software. The experimentation was carried out Hision CFV 1100 vertical center Fanuc Oi MF control, supported Taguchi L18 methodology parameters strategy. 9 tests were each strategy 25 mm flat cutting tool 4 speed steel (HSS) lips based 3 levels parameters, range 800 m / min 1000 min, feed per tooth 0.25 0.35 tooth. results obtained both time temperature behavior described Mr. Salomón high-speed (HSM), an ANOVA statistical analysis determined presents reduction 93.27% compared stable 25ºC tool.
